Creating an imagefilm in Berlin is not just about visuals — it is about translating history, collaboration, and innovation into a coherent cinematic narrative.
For this project, MIdday Film Productions was commissioned to create a documentary-style image film for Stryker in Kiel, focusing on the collaboration between engineers and physicians and the historical roots of medical innovation.
From Medical History to Modern Collaboration
The story we told in this image film begins in Kiel, where physician Gerhard Küntscher and engineer Ernst Pohl revolutionised fracture treatment in the early 20th century.Their collaboration led to one of the first successful methods of stabilising broken bones using screws and internal fixation — a breakthrough that shaped modern trauma surgery.
This pioneering work laid the foundation for what later evolved into Stryker Trauma in Germany, now part of a global medical technology leader.
Imagefilm Production with a Documentary Approach
As a filmproduktion Berlin, our goal was not to create a polished corporate commercial, but a documentary imagefilm rooted in authenticity.
The focus of the production:
real collaboration between engineers and physicians
modern medical workflows and development processes
human interaction behind complex technology
continuity between historical innovation and present-day practice
The result is an imagefilm Berlin approach applied to a production outside the city — demonstrating how strong storytelling travels beyond geography. Production Setup & On-Location Filming in Kiel
The production was executed with a full professional crew:
Director
Two Directors of Photography
Dedicated sound recordist (boom operator)
Professional lighting setup
Filming took place over two days on location in Kiel, with a clear priority:document daily work processes without interrupting them.
This is a key principle of our filmproduktion Berlin methodology — capturing reality as it unfolds, while respecting the precision and focus required in medical and technical environments.
Why Imagefilm Berlin Works for Medical & Industrial Brands
An imagefilm Berlin is often associated with creative industries — but this project shows why the format is equally powerful for medical and industrial innovation.
A documentary-style image film allows companies like Stryker to:
communicate trust and credibility
show real people behind the technology
explain complex processes visually
connect heritage with future innovation
For international audiences, this approach creates clarity, confidence, and long-term value beyond traditional marketing assets.
Filmproduktion Berlin – Beyond Location
Although the project was filmed in Kiel, the creative direction, storytelling, and production standards reflect our work as a filmproduktion Berlin — combining cinematic quality with documentary restraint.
This image film demonstrates how Berlin-based film production expertise can support international and industrial clients across Germany, delivering films that are informative, human, and strategically valuable.
Conclusion: Imagefilm Berlin as a Strategic Tool
This project for Stryker shows how an imagefilm Berlin approach can translate complex medical history and modern collaboration into a compelling visual narrative.
By connecting past innovation with present-day teamwork, the film becomes more than documentation — it becomes a story of progress.
